Process for placements in Australia

Process for placing a tamaiti or rangatahi in Australia.

To place a child/tamaiti or young person in Australia, follow this process if:

  • the potential family/whanau caregivers are Australian citizens or permanent residents
  • the tamaiti is in custody of the Chief Executive, or
  • the Chief Executive is party to a family group conference plan.
