Caregivers need a good support network, advice and respite in order to provide safe, stable and loving homes. Planning for regular breaks, attending a support group or talking with someone who understands can provide invaluable benefits for a caregiver.

Planning for the Youth Court Te Kōti Taiohi o Aotearoa
Early preparation, thorough planning and collaboration are vital in supporting tamariki and rangatahi who appear in the Youth Court, Te Kōti Rangatahi or the Pasifika Court. We also engage with victims to consider their views and keep them informed.

Medical child abuse can have serious, even life threatening, consequences for tamariki and rangatahi. It's not a common diagnosis but we need to understand this disorder so we can recognise when tamariki and rangatahi are impacted.
